Well, heres the strip as promised.

As amazing as it is, I'm still playing City of Heroes, giving it a better track record than most games, since Ive been playing it for 2 months, and that doesnt include the beta. I dont see any sign of getting bored just yet, although several people we know who play are getting bored already. I'm not sure whether that means they suck, or something else I haven't considered, but who knows.

Wolf has also been playing Eve on a 14 day free trial or something. I played during the beta and got bored pretty fast with it, but from what I've heard, its a little more entertaining. Wolf might elaborate more. Or he might not post at all! Who knows!

Thats all for now, monkies!

As Ice said, I've been playing EVE recently. I actually signed up for a month after the 14 day trial. EVE is a pretty game, and it's always fun warping through space, but the main problem with EVE is that it is horribly overcomplicated. Everything in the game has horrible requirements of skills and subskills, even the skills themselves require you to learn other skills before you can train them. Also, You can make a good deal of ISK (the in game cash) mining ore, but minign is possibly the most boring thing in the universe, both the real one and the in game one. Mostly I set my ship somewhere nice and start mining, then watch some porn or something on TV. Anything to try to raise the excitement a bit. I know some people actually enjoy the supposed strategy this needless complication brings, but I enjoy things a bit more simple.
This brings us to, of course, City of Heroes. City of Heroes, as it stands right now, is almost not an MMORPG. It's MMO, sure, but the RPG part isn't the standard fare. There are no stats that you see, you don't have to worry about your wisdom or intelligence and wonder why they are two different stats when they sound so similiar, there is no best equipment for your level that you have to go camp a spawnpoint for, or pay some crazy bastard ten hojillion dollars for. If you need something, and you have the cash, you can go to a store in the city and buy it, most likely. CoH is a very "jump right in" game; you don't have to go kill rats or something for 5 hours to buy a sword that does 3 damage instead of your fist that does 1 damage so you can kill some giant bugs. Sure, you're killing low level bad guys, but they still look like bad guys, it feels like you're actually doing something instead of grinding. And most baddies are in groups of 3 or 4 or more, and even from the start you can take on small groups successfully, so you feel like a kickass motherfucker, even though you really are just a tiny bastard. Obviously this game isn't for everyone, with the lack of phat lewt and crazy complex skill requirements, but I enjoy the hell out of it. TO THE MAX!
Really 1337 Comic Thing.
